Normal firepower is stronger than the others, but you can only mount and use on gunpod at a time. This makes it probably the easiest ship to use if you're starting out with shooters... which many of you will, this game being your first foray into shmup territory.

Einhander has done an awful lot for the cause of shootemups, but with its resolutely 3D-ish viewpoint makes it hard for newcomers to accept anything 2D in the future. Ah well. Maybe having a 3D core is the only way to get a shootemup released on the Playstation in the west nowadays. Possibly hope for R-Type Delta coming out here yet then.
