Wow, we actually get an intro in a Fantasy Zone game now... too bad it’s in Japanese. From what a gather from the pictures, the Zone has been invaded, all the other Opa Opans who tried to help were given a beat down, and only you are left and can save the day. And nothing about your father this time, trust me.

I didn’t bother with the regular zone snapshots because a) you’re probably sick of FZ by now b) the backgrounds are the same as with the bosses c) I can’t come up with that many captions d)Shmups webspace must be getting small...

Second boss, a variation on the laser shooting cheese. This one’s got 360 degrees of plasma chucking terror.

Notice the high quality graphics on the Genesis... why, I can almost count all the scales on that fish.

The fourth level takes place in a darkened cave, but there is an item in the shop that extends your light if you so choose to buy it.

Boss number four wiggles two axe arms around, forcing you to bomb your way in from the top. Lights are on for this battle though.

These flying floor tiles move in funny patterns and switch direction a lot.
